A name, a guarantee.<br \/>\nThis path is 13 km long in total and needs around <strong>6-8 hours<\/strong> to walk it. It leads from Riomaggiore to Portovenere, but today we decide to stop before, in order to visit Monesteroli.<\/p>\n<div class=\"spazio30\"><\/div>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1732 img-responsive\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.residenceliguria.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/Riomaggiore-Sentiero-Infinito-Inizio-LiguriaTrekkingeXperience.jpg\" alt=\"The beginning of the path Infinito in Riomaggiore, LiguriaTrekkingeXperience\" width=\"785\" height=\"442\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blog.residenceliguria.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/Riomaggiore-Sentiero-Infinito-Inizio-LiguriaTrekkingeXperience.jpg 785w, https:\/\/blog.residenceliguria.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/Riomaggiore-Sentiero-Infinito-Inizio-LiguriaTrekkingeXperience-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/blog.residenceliguria.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/Riomaggiore-Sentiero-Infinito-Inizio-LiguriaTrekkingeXperience-768x432.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 785px) 100vw, 785px\" \/><\/p>\n<div class=\"spazio30\"><\/div>\n<p>We start from the rail station in <strong>Riomaggiore<\/strong> and we past the city center moving towards the upper part of the village.<br \/>\nHere a panel easily explains all the route we have to face.<br \/>\nA little bit forward we meet a hiking road with long and cobblestone stairs leading to the <strong>Santuario of Montenero<\/strong> at 340 meters asl.<br \/>\nHere the first viewpoint of our walking trip obviously stops our stroll.<br \/>\nAn extraordinary and<strong> unforgettable sea view<\/strong> opens up just in front of the religious building.<\/p>\n<div class=\"spazio30\"><\/div>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1733 img-responsive\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.residenceliguria.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/Santuario-di-Montenegro-Liguriatrekkingexperience.jpg\" alt=\"Montenero Sanctuary in Riomaggiore\" width=\"785\" height=\"442\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blog.residenceliguria.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/Santuario-di-Montenegro-Liguriatrekkingexperience.jpg 785w, https:\/\/blog.residenceliguria.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/Santuario-di-Montenegro-Liguriatrekkingexperience-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/blog.residenceliguria.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/Santuario-di-Montenegro-Liguriatrekkingexperience-768x432.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 785px) 100vw, 785px\" \/><\/p>\n<div class=\"spazio30\"><\/div>\n<p>From the sanctuary we take the path to <strong>Colle del Telegrafo<\/strong>, crossing the hamlet of Lemmen.<br \/>\nWhile going through we can enjoy the wonderful terraces cultivated with vine, a peculiarity of this land.<br \/>\nThis is a steeping and inhospitable region where only with daily sweat and great commitment the local vineyard workers are able to produce a <strong>special wine<\/strong>, named \u201cheroic\u201d.<br \/>\nIt is sufficient to say that in this area the only kind of real mechanization are the<strong> small monorail trains<\/strong> used by farmers to transport baskets full of grapes.<\/p>\n<div class=\"spazio30\"><\/div>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1735 img-responsive\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.residenceliguria.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/Monorotaia-Cinque-Terre.jpg\" alt=\"monorail trains in Cinque Terre\" width=\"785\" height=\"442\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blog.residenceliguria.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/Monorotaia-Cinque-Terre.jpg 785w, https:\/\/blog.residenceliguria.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/Monorotaia-Cinque-Terre-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/blog.residenceliguria.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/Monorotaia-Cinque-Terre-768x432.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 785px) 100vw, 785px\" \/><\/p>\n<div class=\"spazio30\"><\/div>\n<p>As we reach Colle del Telegrafo we meet the first <strong>refreshment area<\/strong>; afterwards we follow a large, easy and dirt road.<br \/>\nTwenty minutes later we are at the <strong>Church of Sant\u2019Antonio<\/strong> with a second refreshment point and a crossroad.<br \/>\nFrom one side the path goes on and until it passes through Campiglia up to Portovenere. The keen walkers who choose this walk, can come back to Riomaggiore by catching the ferry in Portovenere.<br \/>\nWe decide to take the other side shown at the crossroad and we head toward Monesteroli.<\/p>\n<div class=\"spazio30\"><\/div>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1752 img-responsive\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.residenceliguria.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/Sentiero-Infinito-Riomaggiore-Portovenere-Liguriatrekkingexperience.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"785\" height=\"525\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blog.residenceliguria.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/Sentiero-Infinito-Riomaggiore-Portovenere-Liguriatrekkingexperience.jpg 785w, https:\/\/blog.residenceliguria.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/Sentiero-Infinito-Riomaggiore-Portovenere-Liguriatrekkingexperience-300x201.jpg 300w, https:\/\/blog.residenceliguria.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/Sentiero-Infinito-Riomaggiore-Portovenere-Liguriatrekkingexperience-768x514.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 785px) 100vw, 785px\" \/><\/p>\n<div class=\"spazio30\"><\/div>\n<h3>The stairway of Monesteroli<\/h3>\n<div class=\"spazio30\"><\/div>\n<p>We hike downhill along a paved road for about a kilometer and we firstly meet a<strong> precious Menhir<\/strong>; after a while a pathway closed with a little gate with a handwritten word \u201cMonesteroli\u201d on is in front of us.<\/p>\n<p>We walk past the gate.
